100 BEGINNER FRIENDLY things to crochet


We’ve all been there. You have an insane amount of yarn but no idea what to crochet. You also don’t want to crochet something too challenging, but you do want to make something good. Well, fear not, because I am here with a hundred beginner friendly things to crochet that you’ll actually want to make. My name is Taylor Whitney. If you’re new here, yada yada, let’s get into the video. Starting out with number one, reusable market bags. These are perfect for the farmer’s market or even just the grocery store. A bikini top. Super cute for summer and there’s so many designs you can do. Bikini bottoms. You’re definitely gonna have to crochet one of these to match the top you made. A tote bag. There are so many ways you can do this. You can literally make it however you want with whatever colors. Leg warmers.


These are actually so cute, especially if you live somewhere where it’s cold. If not, you should definitely crochet them now so you can have them during the winter. A little heart garland. This is so cute for decorating your room and definitely giving like Lana Del Rey co qu vibes. A book cover. This is super good, especially if the book you have is kind of ugly and doesn’t really match the aesthetic of your room. Steering wheel cover. If you do this, you’re going to want to like sew it onto your steering wheel really tight so it doesn’t like slip around while you’re driving. That could be really bad. Bandana top. These are super simple, but also really cute. Flowers. You can literally make any type of flower you want. Tulips, sunflowers, daisies, literally anything. A water bott.


This is perfect for like, if you don’t have any room in your actual bag that you’re taking for your water bottle. Aie. Even though it’s summer right now, this is perfect to crochet now so that way you have it during the winter. The Harry Styles cardigan. I know it looks like it would be super difficult to crochet, but it’s not. It’s really more just like time consuming, but it’s really easy. A drawstring bag. Super simple and very useful. A ribbon for your hair. This is another like Lana Del Rey coquette core kind of thing. A singular granny square tote B bag. This is great if you don’t want to have to stop in the middle of your project and like have to weave in ends of stuff. Airpod cover.


This is perfect because you can make it custom to whichever type of AirPods you have. And there’s so many designs you can do. Bucket hat. I have seen the cutest designs on Pinterest. It was like a little frog one and then like a little cow one. I don’t know what these are really called but it’s like a rear view mirror hanging thing. There’s so many different things you can do with this. Like you can could do animals, flowers, whatever you want. Also bonus thing with that is it won’t crack your windshield like some of those little hanging things do. Fingerless gloves. A daisy bralette. I have made so many of these and they’re super cute but like really easy and quick to make a bandana for your hair. This one’s really easy. You basically just have to crochet a triangle and that’s it. Coasters.


Very useful. And I have seen these super cute checkered ones on Pinterest and I love them. A granny square headband. A laptop case slash cover. This one is one that’s super useful but also really cute. A harness for your dog. I would suggest you to do this if you have a smaller dog because I feel like if you had a bigger dog it wouldn’t really like hold them as well. A seat belt cover. This is another really good one for decorating your car. A granny square blanket. This is another one that will take a lot of time but is super simple to make. A purse. This one similar to the tote bag. Just a little more fancy. I don’t really know how to say this. I think it’s amigurumi stuffed animals. I probably butchered that. I’m sorry but those are just so freaking cute.


Little beaded eyes. Just so adorable. Keychains. A hanging plant. This is something that can be a little more challenging to crochet, but the outcome is so worth it. A star garland. This one is another one that’s really good for decorating your room. Shorts. You can make these with like granny squares or half double crochet. It doesn’t matter. Also they can be like beach shorts or pajama shorts. Whatever you want. A matching skirt and top. I think these are so adorable and they are perfect for summer. A swimsuit cover up. Another perfect summer item. A headrest cover for the seats in your car. A simple rug. This could be like a bath mat or a welcome mat or just like a simple little rug for your room. It doesn’t have to be big, it could just be whatever you want. A tube top.


This one’s super Easy and simple, but also really cute. A granny square scarf. Definitely crochet this one now so you can have it during the winter. A pillowcase. I wouldn’t suggest using this, like, to sleep on. It’s more for, like, decoration only. Unless you want to sleep on yarn. I feel like that would be uncomfortable, but you do you. A wallet. A TV cover. Oh, my gosh. I saw this on TikTok and I had to put it in here because it’s just like, who even thinks of that? Hanging bees. I actually have a couple of these in my room and I feel like they really add to the decor in there. Arm sleeves. I think this might be called, like, a shrug or something. I’m not really sure though. A chair cushion.


This is perfect if your chair is, like, hard and kind of uncomfortable. Now mine is. I should definitely crochet one of those. A phone pouch bag. This is good for, like, you don’t want your phone to get, like, scratched up in your bag or wherever. A bottle sleeve. This. You can make it, like, however design you want. And it’s also useful if your drink is, like, either super hot or super cold. A door curtain. This is super cute and it also will give you privacy. See? Car coasters. I actually just crocheted some of these for my car yesterday. A bookmark. A balaclava. Again, you should crochet this now so you can have it during the winter time. Actual pillows. Not just the pillowcase. Again, I don’t know if I’d sleep on these. Maybe just use them for decoration. Ear muffs.


You can either make these so they, like, tie around your head or you can, like, use an actual headband and then just, like, put them on there. Potholders. Super practical and very sustainable. A placemat. Why buy this when you could literally just crochet it. A can. Koozie. This is another one for if your drink is, like, super hot or super cold. Just for a can instead of a bottle. Reusable Swiffer cover. I thought this was so cool. And they, like, use, like, fluffy yarn for it. It’s crazy how people just, like, thought of stuff like that. I could never. Scrunchies. I can’t tell you how simple these are to make. I have made so many of these dog toys. You can even put, like, little squeakers in there for them too. A sweater.


I know this seems difficult, but it’s actually super easy and I definitely believe you guys can do it. A cutesy little summer dress. A phone charger. Cord cover. I actually did this and it’s perfect. So that way, no one can, like, take your charger and then say it’s theirs because yours is unique and different. Pants. This is another thing that could take a little break. Bit more time making them, but the end result is just so cute. I have some, and they’re really comfortable and super warm. A crochet hook holder. This one is super useful. Like, for some reason, I always lose my hooks, so I feel like this would be perfect for anyone who crochets a cat beanie. These are super trendy right now and for good reason. Baby doll tops.


Not actually for baby dolls for yourself, but that’s just what they’re called. A sweater vest. I especially like the Emma Chamberlain one. I’ve seen so many people recreate that one. A tissue box cover. How great is it to turn something boring and turn it into something super fun and aesthetic? Socks. A jewelry trinket box cover. I’ve seen people make, like, cakes out of these. I know that sounds weird, but I’ll put a picture, and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Coin purses. Halter tops. A beach bag. I would definitely line this if you’re gonna make this one. Especially if you’re gonna put, like, towels in it and heavier stuff. The yarn might stretch out if you don’t line it with something. Mittens. A trinket dish. I was so surprised when I saw this one because it’s, like, crazy.


You can literally make anything out of yarn. A cowboy hat. I am obsessed with this one. You’re definitely gonna have to, like, put wire in it or something, so it’ll actually, like, keep its shape, but. Oh, my gosh. Slippers. Overalls. Oh, my gosh. I have been dying to make a pair of these because they’re so cute. I’ve seen some with, like, flower granny squares and. Oh, I’m obsessed. A phone case. Who thought you could make a phone case out of yarn? A cover for your earbuds. This one’s similar to the charger cover 1. A mesh tank top. This is perfect for summer. Like, to go over a tube top or a swimsuit. Center console car cover. I definitely need to make one of these because my dog will, like, run to the back of the car, and they’ll, like, scratch up the center console.


So this is definitely on my list of things to make hair clips. I actually have no words. These are adorable. A stuffed animal. Mesh hammock. You can also put yarn in this as well. Like, it’s super good for storage. Reusable cotton Rounds. These are so sustainable and eco friendly. A singular granny square top. Super easy and quick. A hat for your cat. I actually died when I saw this. A poncho. A flower garland. This one’s similar. Similar to the heart and the star one, but just with flowers. A flower crown. This is very much cottage core vibes. A jewelry holder. This is actually one of the most creative things I think I’ve ever seen. A jewelry slash crystal pouch. You could put so many, like, other things in this too. A belt.


I had actually never even heard of this, but when I saw it, I’m like, why haven’t I thought of this? A makeup bag. A skincare headband. Basically, like one of those little fluffy things with like the little bow on top. Scra yarn sweater. Great for recycling old yarn and it will turn out super cute. And last but not least, for number 100, we have earrings. I’ve seen so many different styles of these and I love every single one of them.
