50 Crochet Gift Ideas

Hello, welcome to my channel. I’m sky and it is so nice to have you here. Today I’m going to be sharing with you 50 crochet gift ideas. Guys, I am so excited for this list because I have compiled all of these ideas from crochet items. People have requested me to make them for Christmas, birthdays, that sort of thing. Also looking at what’s trending and also which might be most importantly, crochet gifts that are not going to take a long time to make, I don’t think anything on this list will take more than a day to make, which is perfect because I want to be able to like pump out all my gifts like for Christmas in one day or two days because I get bored really fast, really easy.

So I can almost guarantee there’s going to be something in this list that you will want to make as a gift for someone in your life. Let me know in the comments which one you’re going to make, what your favorite is. I will include a PDF in the description for some tutorials and patterns that are really nice. You could follow along based on these gift ideas. So with that being said, I want to say I put everything into a category, but the categories are pretty broad and the first category I want to share with you are the accessories. So let me scooch a little more on site so I can put some photos here. The first item for the gift ideas is to crochet some little pouches. I have this one first because you can crochet a pouch for anything.

You can make a pouch for someone, right, that they can put their dice in, a pouch for coins, a pouch for trinkets. If you don’t know what to make for someone but they collect something, just make them a little pouch. I just think this is really cute. They can also put their AirPods in it. Next is to make a sleeve for laptops or iPads. And this one’s really nice. You can get pretty creative with this one and I think it would be a really nice and practical gift to give to someone. And I also have Kindle sleeve on here. I actually have a tutorial for this Kindle case that I made and I love seeing you guys make it sending me photos.

I have made a Kindle case with for everyone who I know who owns a Kindle and everyone loves them, everyone uses them. It’s really great gift for a Kindle user in your life. Going on the topic of sleeves and pouches and reading is a book cover and you could make an actual case or pouch for a book, or like a sleeve that goes over, like a hardcover book. I just think this would be really unique to protect the book when they’re taking it around. And like a really nice, nice gift idea for the readers, book lovers in your life. And then of course, we have to include bookmarks. There are so many different types of bookmarks that you can make, and they don’t have to be just like a rectangle. The possibilities are endless.

Honestly, I think for someone who likes to read, imagine making them a bookmark and a book cover. That’s like perfect. That is such a nice gift. I would love that. Now we have makeup pouches. I say makeup pouch, but honestly, it can be used for like pencils, like a pencil case pouch or a pouch for anything. You know, it’s so nice to have like a little pouch bag in your big bag to like organize for your organizing friends. You can make them a really nice pouch. And again, there’s so many different styles and types that you can make. And I saw this flat lay drawstring pouch bag and it blew my mind. It is so clever. I think this is such a great idea.

Especially if you know someone who takes their makeup with them in the car or like has sleepovers at friend’s house, gets ready at a friend’s house. I think this is a really smart idea. And then you could also make a little pouch for your friend that has a digital camera that they take with them, unless they already have a case. But if they just like put their camera in their bag raw, like having a cute little pouch to put their camera in, it’s like a really nice idea, really thoughtful gift. Then you could also make a card holder. I feel like having a crochet card holder is like really cool. And especially if it’s for someone who doesn’t really use a wallet, they have like a little. They use little handbags. So they have like a little crochet card holder.

It could be really cute. And then this one is one I think I have made the most for people in my life. And that is a washcloth. Now you want to use cotton yarn for this because it’ll get wet. Especially my mom, she asks for these all the time. She uses them every day. A washcloth for either dishes in the kitchen, you know, washing or washing your face. You could do a little pouch makeup pouch or something. And then give them also like a face cloth or just like a really nice set of washcloths is so nice and like practical. Whoever you make it for is going to use it. I have one for myself for washing my face, and I love it. It’s nice and soft. It’s just a really great gift idea. Next is a little case or pouch for glasses.

A case to put sunglasses in or like your reading glasses. So that’s a good one. I really want to make myself one, actually for my sunglasses. I have a lot of people my life who wear glasses, so I know they would use this for their glasses. I really love gift ideas that are, like, practical, you know, like something that, you know the person who receives it is going to use. Next we have this one, which is a wine net. I love this idea because you could gift a bottle of wine or something with this net bag. Or you could do it for a water bottle. Like, it doesn’t have to be for wine. If you gift someone a water bottle or someone who loves their water bottle and they take it everywhere so they could wear it.

Especially, like, if you go for long walks so you don’t have to carry your bottle. That is something I know I would use. This is a pretty cool one. I imagine, like, a really cool friend would have a wine bag who, like, comes to the dinner party with, like, their wine, like a wine net. And then next, which is also one of my most. I’ve made so many of these. I cannot count how many I’ve made. And also, this is what I gift the most to every single person. And this is the mesh bag. And it’s really nice with, like, a thick cotton yarn. But I recently. Well, not so recently, a few months ago, made one with, like, a thin cotton and a small hook, and it’s just, like, got a completely different vibe to it. It’s so nice, so practical.

It’s like the perfect beach bag. I use mine to the beach. The perfect bag for groceries, perfect bag for shopping. It’s like. Like, whoever gets it is gonna use it for something. I’ve even used mine to carry my laundry. Like, they’re gonna use it for something. I promise I’ll use it. Next is a scrunchie. And this is for someone who likes to accessorize. And I’m sure you could probably maybe think of someone who might wear a scrunchie. Scrunchie also sort of in that category are these really cool, like, bun knits. Like a lacy little knit to put on a bun, I think is so cool and definitely trending a bit more now. I can definitely see the cool girls wearing these. I. I want one. Then also these lace knit Cap hats. And also again, the cool girls are wearing them.

I’m sure maybe someone watching this video is thinking, I know exactly who I can make this for. Maybe you could do a little mesh cap and like a little bun net combo gift for them. You could get creative and put like beads on it. There’s like so many things you could do with this. Then there’s also the idea of doing a bucket hat. And if you’re doing this for Christmas and you live in the southern hemisphere, a bucket hat is just perfect. If you’re in the colder seasons, you could do a beanie or a bonnet. I know I’m going to make a bonnet for one of my friends. Also a headband. These are really great because I know some people really like to accessorize. This is a really good one for your friend with accessories.

Then there’s air warmers and you could do a headband air warmer combo situation. Or do like the really cool train where you get like a headband and you crochet around it and do like big ear muffs. That is so stinking cute. I love that idea. I kind of wish it was cold enough where I live so I can make them for me. And then a gift for the colder weather is making some socks. Like some really fuzzy socks would be so nice. I would love to have some warm fuzzy crochet socks. And then also is gloves or mittens is a really nice idea. Or you can do fingerless gloves for winter if you’re in the northern hemisphere and this is a Christmas gift.

This would be a really great gift if you did like gloves with like a beanie or gloves and ear muffs, you know, like a set that would just be gorgeous. And then of course you could make a scarf and you could do like, honestly the possibilities are endless with different types of scarves you could make. And if you’re in a warmer place, you could do a really cute skinny scarf or lacy scarf. And this could double as a belt. Again, such a cool accessory and versatile accessory to have. And then I wanted to mention this next one because this is something I’m going to be making for someone and it’s a mesh poncho. I recently made one when I was in Greece and I love it. It worked up so fast. It is so easy to make. And I will be making a tutorial.

Don’t worry. This is such a good gift, especially if it’s for someone who loves the beach and they could wear as a beach cover up or like to festivals. And then there’s also keychains. Well, I put keychains and bag charms. You could do anything. You can do absolutely anything for a keychain or bag charm. Think about the person that you want to do it for. Think about anything. They, like, just got a little friend. You could do a keychain of their cat. And then I also really want to mention this one. I think it is so cool. It is this yoga mat strap. How cool is that? If you have carried around a yoga mat and you don’t have something to, like, keep it closed, you’ll know. It’s like, it’s kind of frustrating.

If you have someone in your life who likes to do yoga, this is such a nice gift to give them to make for them. How good is that? Like, no one else is gonna have it. They’re gonna be the coolest person at their yoga class. I want to go on to the next category, and I just had to include this. It is the pets category. We all know someone, whether it’s you or a friend, your mum, anyone who just adores and loves their pet, whatever pet they have. You could make a jumper for their pet. You know, dog, cat, whatever they have. I have made so many jumpers for my dogs, and I made a jumper for my brother’s dog. Such a good idea, Especially if it’s winter. And you could do a little hat. How cute. And maybe even a matching hat.

So you could make a hat for them and then just, like, a matching hat for their dog or their cat is adorable and quite funny. I love the idea of crocheting a little hammock for a cat. I think this is a really fun idea. Or you could crochet a bed. This one. I’m not sure how I would go about making it, but like, a little bed for a little cat or a little dog. I feel like if it’s a really big dog, it might be a bit harder. So maybe for a smaller animal. And also this food mat. This one is really cute. And you could get creative with the type of yarn that you use for it or just use cotton. But I think it is so cute. I just had to include this.

So I just realized I only have three categories for this video, which means we’re on the last category. But don’t worry, we still have lots of really nice ideas. And this is the category for home bedroom. First thing I want to mention is making a tapestry. This one is really nice. If you have a friend who likes to hang art on their walls, you could make them a personalized tapestry crochet creation, whatever they like. You can make it in crochet form. I think that is just such an incredible gift. So thoughtful to make for someone if they’re a huge fan of an artist. You could do the artist name or album cover. You could do a picture of the cat. You could do like anything, honestly, just an aesthetic picture. Like the opportunities flow. This one is actually endless.

There’s so, so many things that you can do to personalize it. If you just go on Pinterest, you’ll find so many grids that you can use to make a tapestry art. And then this next one I think is so cool. And that is making like crocheting a frame around a photo or a postcard. I love this idea. Maybe you have some really old photos, if your grandparents have some old photos, something like that. Or you have photo, you and your friend, you and your boyfriend, girlfriend, whoever, you know, any kind of photo. And you crochet a frame around. It is like a crochet border is beautiful. It’s so unique. They can hang it on their wall, put on their fridge. You know, it’s just like a really special gift.

And I think if you have a friend who loves like those thoughtful kinds of things, that is a great idea. You could also crochet a garland. And you could do this for someone who, you know, they like to decorate. So you could do a garland of literally anything. You could do flowers, like their favorite flower, literally anything. Just crochet, like small little appliques. You could do hearts. The possibilities for a garland is endless as well. I just think it’s a really fun idea, especially if you don’t really know what to make for someone. But you know, they like to maybe spend time in their room or in their dorm if they’re in university. Lots, lots of ideas. Then you could also make little pillows, actually make the shape of the pillow, like just a little bit. Throw pillow, decorative pillow.

I’ve seen so many of these and I love them. I would love to make some of these, especially this one of like the flower I think is so cute. You could get really creative with the type of yarn that you use. Or you could make a cushion cover. So like, just do a normal square, you know, for like a normal shape pillow. And you could even use a pillowcase to like, use as a reference for size. My mom has asked me to make her some cushion covers, pillow covers. So that’s what she’ll be getting for Christmas with her washcloths. This is a really Nice one. A gift maybe for someone who has a new home. Make them a little pillow cover. And this one, I just, I had to include this one and it is making a jelly cat.

Actually crocheting a little jelly cat for your friend. This one I don’t like. I would love to make one, but I am not really an amigurumi type of person. But if you’re watching this and you are, please make this for someone or even if it’s just for you, I think this is such an incredible gift to make for someone if they collect them. Crocheting a little jelly cat is such a cute idea. I love it. Then also for sort of like the kitchen, dining part of their house, you could make someone placemats. There’s so many different styles that you could make. I am thinking of doing this for my brother and his girlfriend for their apartment. You could even do coasters or like a set of coasters with matching placemats would be so nice. I just love the idea of gifting coasters.

You can really do anything like in the small little circle or square shape. And I think it’s such a fun way to like get something that the person you’re making it for likes and just turn it into like a fun little gift. There’s so many things that you could do for this. There’s also the idea of making a little more mat for a keyboard or like for a desk. This one would be really nice if you have a friend or someone who likes gaming. I think it could look so cute to do a mat for under their keyboard with like a little border. I just think that’s a really nice idea. And I wanted to include doilies in this list.

I really like the idea of just having some like plain white doilies to like put your rings on or like put on a table and then put like flowers on top. I know it’s kind of old fashioned, but I just think they can look really nice. You could also make a trinket dish this one. Again, you could do like so many different things with this and it could be for their jewelry. It could be for literally any trinket they have, anything at all. You could do this and personalize it to whatever they, their hobbies are, whatever they like. Could be a fun one. Then there’s also potholders. I know potholders might seem like kind of boring, but they’re like really useful. And it definitely goes under that like useful gift that the receiver will definitely use. If it’s like a Housewarming gift or something.

Then you know, potholders are great, especially if you make like a really nice one. Bright, really nice colors, nice design, just a really nice, thoughtful gift. I can’t imagine myself going out and buying potholders, but if I received some, I would be really happy and I would use them. And then there’s also a tissue box cover. Now this one is more for like, if you don’t know what to make for someone, you could do a tissue box cover. I just think it’s fun. And then there’s also oven mitts. So I didn’t realize you could actually crochet oven mitts. I think it has to be like two layers though each side because obviously you don’t want to burn your hands. But this could be a nice one for someone who likes to bake, if you know someone who likes baking.

Like the oven mitts and potholders could be such a nice gift. Or you could make this wall hanger. And this one is nice because it could be used in the kitchen. It could be used in your bedroom or your bathroom. It can be used anywhere for anything. I saw a photo of someone putting their wooden spoons in one. I saw a photo of someone putting like the hairbrush and like all their hair things and makeup in one. It’s just nice because the person who receives it can use it for whatever they want. The last item I have to share with you today is a plant basket cover. I’m sure we all have someone in our lives who really likes plants or like a hanging plant net thing. Actually that’s probably its own thing. This one is really cute.

Again, such a nice way to like make a space look more personalized. Like it’s in their living room or their bedroom. I just think this is a really fun one. Alright guys, that is all 50 ideas I have to share with you today. I really hope there was at least one or more ideas that you want to make for someone.
